Shawn Kennedy is a part of the lead pastoral team at Existence Church in San Diego, CA. He is also the founder of Kingdom Come Discipleship. Bill Mangham is on the pastoral team at Existence Church. He overseas the Hispanic Ministries for the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Southern, CA. Bill has served as a missionary in South America for over twenty years.

The Gospels are Priceless!

Whether you're looking to disciple someone or be discipled yourself this book will fit that need. As I went through it as a discipler I took away 2 things. First, you could tell the writers have a desire to help new or old Christians and unbelievers to understand God's plan in their life and for all mankind. Their goal wasn't to make someone feel guilted into having to accept Christ or shamed into it, but ultimately want Christ because He loves them and has a perfect plan. The approach taken is loving and informative. You walk away asking yourself, "How can I not accept this love? It's given to me for free. I don't have to earn it on my own. God has a plan for my life." Before someone told me about God's love I used to think I needed to earn or work my way to Him. Second, as a discipler I learned so much. Even though I had gone through a "Discipleship 101" before, the reminders and refresher was exactly what I needed in my spiritual journey.
The Gospels reveal so many truths that if we take the time to learn them the rest of our lives will be changed and impacted in a way that can only be described as "Priceless!".

Wonderful for new and old believers

This is a wonderful resource for both new and old believers. I lead a couple guys through this book and was so encouraged and blessed from the process. One guy had been a Christian for years, but we both grew so much from our time together in this book. Another guy was new to faith, and it was such an encouraging time to go through this with him. I highly recommend taking one or two people through this or finding someone to do this with, you will get so much more out of the book. It does a great job of breaking down some complex truths of Scripture (communion, baptism, fasting, sanctification, prayer) into nuggets that are easy to understand and teach. I highly recommend this book. In fact, I've already asked a couple new guys to join me in going through this again.

Perfect guide into Discipleship

I had the opportunity to go through this book with a friend and co-worker and it was truly an remarkable experience. I had never discipled, anyone before and was a little unsure of how the process worked. This book gives you an easy, clear, and concise, method to help you grow and learn so much about Gods word, and the person you are discipling. You will also learn a great deal about yourself while making an impact for Gods Kingdom!
