Between Adolf Hitler and Joseph Mengele there was a hierarchy of scientists whom were responsible for writing the infamous racial legislation of the Third Reich. Mengele was following their orders, yet many of these German doctors and scientists were set free after being captured by the Allies.
Previously unpublished manuscripts, correspondence, and conveniently forgotten publications reveal professional and political relationships as well as shared scientific convictions between high-profile American Progressives, British Fabian Socialists, and their German counterparts. The mounting evidence points to the long-standing designs and machinations of "scientific racism", a still poorly understood aspect of history.
This book documents the hundred year trajectory of the history of "scientific racism" from its initial intentions to create "a race of masters" to the Holocaust, which resulted from Hitler's conviction to create a "master race". These scientific prejudices and political dogmas are as relevant today as they were leading up to WWII. A thorough understanding of the origins of this movement is in order.

Highly recommended

This is a mammoth book, almost 800 pages of, it looks, like 9 point type. It is one of the most detailed, well documented, books ever published that documents the leading scientists in both US and Germany were responsible for writing the infamous racial legislation of both the US and the Third Reich. These scientists, doctors, and legislators were in prestigious positions in various universities within the United States and Hitler's Germany. Many of the ghastly experiments credited to Mengele and other doctors were ordered or approved by high-ranking scientists. Many of these German doctors and scientists were set free after being captured after World War II because the need for doctors and professors after the war was great, and prosecuting them would have decimated the ranks of the medical profession, because so many were involved. The book published by the Holocaust Museum in the United States documents the same point in far fewer pages. Author Samaan's book goes into far more detail. Highly recommended.

EXPOSING AMERICA'S DARK LINKS TO HISTORY

DO NOT let the title, the size, the look of the book cover or even the reviews deter you from investing in reading this book. Although the title and the book cover convey a 100 hundred year history that ends with the Nuremburg trials, those 100 years of history and their synergistic links are incredibly relevant today (2015), and especially for our understanding of American history.
This 100 year history will expose the synergistic links of Progressive Liberalism and totalitarianism as it advances through American and world history. The reader will be introduced, in varying degrees, to various ideologies like atheism, Marxism, evolution, slavery, eugenics, racial segregation, sterilization, birth control, and Nazi Fascism via Hitler. In addition, the reader will be exposed to how these ideologies are linked and how they birthed new ideologies and drove totalitarian agendas, which are still in existence today, but with a changed name and a hidden historical past.
It is hard to capture in words the astounding effect this book is having in reshaping my understanding of history and reforming my worldview. My only wish is that the author would have gone back further to the late 1700’s to early 1800’s to include the ideologies associated with the “enlightenment” where science, reason, or man usurps God as Sovereign and places man/science/reason as sovereign. It is here that we see the exaltation of ideologies and philosophies that are being promoted to move society from a society that has historically worshipped God as its highest good to a secular society that worships something else in place of God as its highest good. If that time period were included to show this theological transition, then what would become more apparent to the reader is how the Bible records in history what happens to a society that once worshipped God as the highest good (basis for the founding of America) and left to worship something else as its highest good.
There is some additional information about the structure and format the reader should know about. The author fails to make it clear that this book is an "advanced readers copy". This is clarified in the book’s website but not in this copy. The author released his findings in paperback prior to finalizing them in hardbound as the vast amount of original research demanded this.
The reader should know it is an imposing book by its appearance and size. However, once you open up the book and just read the first page, which the author wisely utilizes to explain to the reader how, what, and why he wrote the book, you are drawn in and you will be hooked.
So, here is a book that the author literally invested 10-15 years of real, true, honest-to-goodness investigative research where he actually went to where the evidence was. These were places not many of us have ever visited and may not wish to, and in some cases, do not even know they existed. His experience about seeing, smelling, touching actual Nazi paraphernalia lends to the emotive force of his words as he begins to share a history that not many, if any of us, fully knew until you read the book.
The structure and format of the book is somewhat unique. Instead of explicitly numbered chapters with thematic titles, what you have are time periods or what I call “epochs”. These epochs work backward from the time period of Hitler to the time period of Carl Marx. I believe the author structured the book in this manner as a way of simulating the performance an autopsy. And like an autopsy, you work comprehensively and backwards, that is, you go deeper into the body to uncover the disease that led not only to this man’s death, but the death of over 60 million people.
This style also permits him to interject relevant points connected to our current time and culture which exposes the impact of that hidden history on our time. I found that this writing style presented the historical narrative like a documentary where the information flowed smoothly from one point to the next while showing its contemporary relevance alongside its historical relevance.

Intriguing Analysis of 1930-40s Nazi Germany with Applications for 2010-20s America

As people’s understanding of fascism and World War II fade with time’s inexorable push into the future, A.E. Samaan delivers an important analysis of those days that readers today would be wise to read. Deftly laying out the foundation of ideas that led to Hitler’s mad socialist utopia, Samaan takes the novel approach of examining history in reverse so that he can show how branches of seemingly disparate ideas came together into one almost impenetrable mass. Many of those root lines of thought that led to Nazism still exist today, and his book is a stark warning of what can happen if we follow such thinking to its conclusion.
