Carol Round lives in Claremore, Oklahoma with a spoiled-rotten Chiweenie, who adopted her 10 years ago. He has been in charge ever since. He provides moral support while she is busy writing one of her weekly faith-based columns or planning her next book project. Taco can't read but loves his owner who has a passion for using her love of words to inspire and encourage others to seek a closer relationship with our Abba Father.

Get to Know God Through Journaling

I admit I love to journal so when I was offered this workbook to review, I gladly accepted. Just reading the introduction made me smile as I found that the author, Carol Round, and myself have so much in common! The workbook is simple: each day begins with a verse from scripture, followed by a prayer, and then space for reflection. The day ends with a "faith step" that challenges you to reflect on some tough questions. The workbook provides blank pages at the end to "keep on journaling" and continue on the journey after the 40-days are over. I highly recommend this workbook as a wonderful way to get started and continue the practice of getting to know God through journaling.

For ALL followers of Christ Jesus

There is a song named "Little in Much when GOD is in it" even though this is a small book GOD is in it!!!!!!!
This wonderful book is but 50 pages but on EACH page GOD is in it!!!
I was so very blessed by the book "Journaling with Jesus", which I have read and reviewed on my blog and facebook page and to have this workbook makes it even more of a blessing!!!
This workbook helps you dig even deeper into heart, mind and soul.
For each new day there is a Scripture and short note from Carol. Also for each new day there is a place for you to write what you want to pray to our God and Father. From pages 41 through 50 are pages of lines for you to continue on your journey that will surely draw you closer to God. They are all titled, "Keep on Journaling". As for myself, I cannot write in it because I might want to share it with someone, so I will write in another note book.
Carol, yet again you have followed the Lords directions in writing this workbook, I believe that to be true. If those, including myself, who say they are "followers of Yahweh", would take this important time to do this daily, we would be closer to HIM, which is what HE desires and should be our main goal in life. This world would be a different place. Thank you, again for allowing me to read and share this blessing of a workbook and for helping me have a greater desire to draw closer to God, our Lord and Savior.
I lift you up to God Throne of Grace, asking HIM to continue to use you in all areas of your life and to keep your eyes, ears, heart and mind on YAHWEH at all times. And to continue to use you for HIS Glory, Honor and Praise. Numbers 6:22-24 In Christ Jesus Matchless Name Amen.

Draw Closer to God Through This 40 Day Experience

Journaling or writing in a diary is about as well-known as going grocery shopping. Problem is, for most of us, what we write in our journal or diary is about the same.
The idea of writing a letter to God, or expressing our feelings about a particular scripture or personal experience with God may not even have occurred to us. What we write about instead is what we ate for breakfast, how we spent our day, who we're angry with, what we're sad about.
We may even find that our lives are simply "not exciting enough" to record them, and so we give up before we have actually begun.
But Carol Round and her new book, "The 40 Day Challenge," changes all that.
It took 40 years for the Israelites to get to the Promised Land.
It rained for 40 days and 40 nights.
And Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness.
It will take 40 days to 'write' your way through Round's book, and in that time you'll experience God in a very real way. Some questions and topics you will discover:
Have you read the best seller? (Day 13)
Are you feasting? (Day 21)
Are you thirsty? (Day 26)
