About the Author
Growing up, Eric played pinball wherever he could— in the arcades at the Jersey Shore, at bowling alleys, candy stores, coffee shops, in upstate New York, and later in the student center at college. Being a great player, he could play all afternoon for the price of just three games. There was always a challenge to score some more points by getting the ball to the top of the playfield when it got down near the flippers. New York and New Jersey were big on Add-A-Ball games and replays, which were especially fun to play. Eric became a collector after buying Flipper Fair at an auction in 1990 and later winning machines at two pinball shows he attended. Today, he is still pursuing the silver ball wherever he goes.

Great price guide and more

This is a great all around price guide that also includes resource information and also useful information on how to buy, sell, take care of and store pinball games. It includes articles from pinball collectors around the country giving their insight into the hobby of collecting pinball machines. The price guide has a handy rating system that gives three different price class descriptions and allows you to determine by the condition of your game what the value of your pinball machine would be.

Prices are so far off, it's comical

The prices in this guide are catastrophically outdated.
If you want accurate pinball pricing, search online for Boston Pinball Price Guide for historical eBay prices, and learn to interpret that data (i.e. look primarily at sales within the past year.) If you want a physical copy of a guide, look at the Boston Pinball guide; it's not perfect, but those prices are generally within 10% of a normal game (with a few exceptions,) while this one tends to be off by more than 25% the vast majority of the time.
