About the Author
Jennie Morton graduated summa cum laude with honors, earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology/business, and was accepted into South Texas College of Law in 2003. She is the founder and president of the Children’s Justice Foundation, which works to spread awareness of how children can be abused by the legal system. Jennie now lives in Oklahoma and has four children—Kylan, Kaytlin, Aidan, and Hunter.

Emotionally Draining

Standing Strong is the story of Jennie Morton's life. Unfortunately her life has been filled with drama/tragedy. Her childhood years were very troubled. That certainly contributed to a lot of the trouble she encountered in her own life.
Her life has been extremely difficult. It is emotionally draining to read about all the pain and suffering she has endured in life.
Her troubles can be traced to two major causes - first is a large number of very poor life choices on her part. The second major cause is the legal system in Montgomery County Texas where so many of her legal battles took place.
She readily admits to being responsible for the poor choices she made in getting involved in certain relationships with men. These poor choices led to even greater problems involved with divorce/child custody battles. These were stacked against her because of the apparently corrupt family court system.
I think there are some valuable lessons to be gained from reading this book. First, this book would be a great warning for young women about the importance of being cautious when entering into a romantic relationship. All of Ms. Morton's problems can be traced to the poor choices she made in romantic partners.
The next valuable lesson is that when romance goes bad and children are involved, partners often try to punish their ex by using the court system and the children as pawns.
The third lesson is that each person is responsible for their own actions. Don't be a victim. Take responsibility and when you have to, take your punishment, but re-group, stand strong and move forward with life.
It is very painful to read about Ms. Morton's seemingly unfair treatment in life. But she seems to have found her footing and is learning and growing from the painful experiences and lessons.
I would suggest that this would be great reading for any young woman who thinks a charming white knight is the answer to her prayers.
Ms. Morton seems to be on the road to better things. Time will tell.

Amazing!!

I really loved "Standing Strong". Jennie Morton's journey for justice is so very inspiring. I found it so beautiful that she remained positive, compassionate, and dedicated to her children despite the MANY obstacles that she was forced to battle.

Fantasy and Fiction

In my opinion, this book is Jennie's fantasy, with the exception of a portion of the difficulties with the court system.
Jennie's looks can be very deceiving, she's absolutely beautiful outside, but that's it. Don't waste your money on the book unless you like fiction.
You would think that with her alleged credentials, she wouldn't leave herself open for liable and slander lawsuits and back in court.
