Not totally believeable

I have mixed feeling on this book. The storyline was getting a bit too far fetched for me. All of the resentment from Marcus and Jade really came out of left field. I really didn't expect this turn of events from the last book where everything was going well. Jade and even Christian did a total 180. It was just not believable some of the things Jade did, and Christian, what happened to his backbone? He turned into a complete gummy bear. Gina and Dutch were on fire as usual. There sex scenes were off the charts so that certainly wasn't the issue. It was all the other things going in with Crader, and even Sam was a bit strange. It seems like there will be another chapter to this saga, but I am feeling though this series maybe needs to end.

Drama For The Sake Of Drama--Disappointed

This is a complete departure from what we were lead to believe in book 5. Jade did seem a little loopy in that story, but her sudden fixation with reuniting her parents and blaming Gina for their failed relationship in this book was such a contrived plot device that came out of left field. The prologue was also confusing. I didn't think Dutch or Crader were that close until book 4, and now we're supposed to believe they were brothers in debauchery once upon a time. There were just too many inconsistencies that really tested my intelligence as a reader and a fan of this serious. I can spot a contrive plot twist a mile away. Please give your readers a little more credit! I was hoping for some more Lala and Crader in this book--more of them moving forward in a positive direction, not this... I agree, end this series with a little dignity. It was a great run, but definitely time to put these characters to bed or take them in a more believable direction.

Good...But

The author delivers a good story. However, when Crader is found to have had a child by a woman he had sex with when he was engaged to LaLa was keeping with the make-up of the character. What I didn't like was LaLa's soft reaction. She couldn't understand how he could sleep with someone else when he supposed to have loved her. By now she is married to the cheater and they have a child together, who is only a few months younger than the son with the other woman. BUT when LaLa sleeps with Christian, she NOW understands how a person can have sex with another while in love with someone else. Uh? Is that how infidelity is solved? Tic for Tat. LaLa's action made her no matter than Crader.
